Iwasaki's range of wood files is unique as every tooth is milled into the face of the blade to create a pattern of repeating teeth not dissimilar to plane blades.
The edge float is particularly useful for tuning narrow relief cuts, dados and rebates. We have found it extremely useful for taking fine, controllable cuts when tuning the blade-holding channels of Japanese planes.
